Lack Of Awareness In Indian Village

Development  still needs a long to go in India in India specially in rural areas. This is the truth of Indian development that one side government has made big building and provided good infrastructure in cities and at the another side in rural India many people don't have pukka hoses to live in. Government is making rich people more rich and poor more poor. Beside many rural development programs still village people are deprived of them.

Due to lack of education village people are being made fool by the sarpanch of the village and are kept away from the facilities that government provide them. During my visit to village i got to know that they are facing lots of problems but no one is there for them to listen their problems. The question is that where is the media, why can't they put their problems in front of government. Due to lack of education and awareness village people do not knows and understand their rights hence not able to raise their voice for them. The most popular example is Haryana's khap panchayat who is not authorized to punish anyone brutally or kill them but still they do it and people there have to listen what ever they say because they are not aware of the things. Many funds comes for the development of village and people living there but sarpanch instead of investing those in the developmental work they keep all of them in their pocket and village people don't even come to know about any fund was sent by the government for them.

Poverty and illiteracy is the main factor which does not allow India to move ahead. People are not aware of the things because they do not have proper education thus corruption also increases because behind every work the government employers ask for some money from them and they easily give it to them anyhow without knowing it is legal or not. Awareness is must and for that government should start a special awareness campaign every month to teach them at least  their minimum rights and educate them about their health too.
